The Port of Galveston has grown quickly to become one of the biggest departure ports in the United States. That demand for cruises and the relatively cheap land near the port has led to one of the most competitive parking situations around.

If you are looking for Galveston cruise parking, this means good value parking for your cruise as well as plenty of options to choose from. We’ve collated all the information you’ll need to find your perfect parking option for your cruise from Galveston in the table below.

One of the cheaper options for parking, but there is no shuttle and it’s a ten-minute walk to the terminal, so you might want to drop the luggage and the rest of your party off before parking, rather than drag your luggage along for the walk.

Remember that this lot only works if you are cruising from Sunday to Sunday.

Discount Cruise Parking is further away from the cruise terminals than other parking options. However, if you are driving to Galveston on I45 you will drive past this option as you enter the island, so the overall time it takes to get to the terminal is much the same as with other shuttle options.

Offering a shuttle that runs on demand for the short drive to the terminal, 81st Dolphin Parking offers mid-price outdoor parking for your cruise.

Offering both indoor and outdoor parking, shuttles run every 30 minutes (or when full) so there may be a little wait.

Close enough to the port to walk in five minutes, which is just as well as there is no shuttle. Other options which do offer a shuttle are similarly priced, but it is a convenient option and we have parked here and had a good experience.

Whilst there is a shuttle here, it’s less than a ten-minute walk to the terminal and they offer a $20 discount for not using the shuttle. So it’s possible to drop your luggage at the terminal first and turn this into one of the cheapest ways to park for your cruise from Galveston. They will also rent you a car cover whilst you park to protect your car from the Texas sun.

These are the only official parking lots operated by the Port of Galveston for cruise passengers. They offer very frequent shuttles and lots patrolled by port police at a price comparable with many other options.

Parking Lot 9 on Map Below

This is the only official parking garage operated by the Port of Galveston and is just across the street from the port, but still provides a shuttle service. Prices are little more than the parking lots, but if you end up on the 4th level, your car will not be under cover.

Situated right by the port, but still providing a shuttle, this lot offers competitive outdoor parking rates, but slightly expensive indoor pricing.

Easily the most expensive option for Galveston cruise parking, whilst it is indoors and just a five-minute walk to the terminal, the Port of Galveston parking garage is directly opposite and significantly cheaper.
